The Career Education Council (CEC) is a registered charitable organization based in Guelph, Wellington, and Dufferin dedicated to providing youth with meaningful opportunities for exploring careers, building skills, and learning in a hands-on environment. We collaborate extensively with local employers, educators, and community partners to provide resources that will help youth to make more informed choices about their future education, training, and employment pathway.

Please join us on March 27, 2025 from 10:00am - 2:00pm for our annual employment and volunteer fair at Norwell District SS in Palmerston, ON.

Career Pathways: Guelph-Wellington 2025

Career Pathways Guelph-Wellington is an annual, interactive career fair organized by the Career Education Council (CEC) in partnership with local employers and educators. This engaging event sets out to showcase potential pathways, emerging technology, and volunteer opportunities for Grade 8 students.

We are currently booking spots for career booths with interactive activities that groups of students can do to experience occupations in your field. At this year’s event, we are also planning specialty areas specifically featuring community connections, career speakers, and outdoor exhibitors.

Hiring Youth Employer Speed Networking Event

Join the Career Education Council (CEC) at the Italian Canadian Club of Guelph for our Hiring Youth Employer Speed Networking Event! It will take place on April 30th, 2025 from 9:30am - 11:30am.

Service providers will be on-hand to provide current information about programs, projects, and incentives that help support employers in building their local workforce. Service providers will stay at their tables, while employers, youth, and other guests will rotate around the room to hear about the opportunities they offer.
